"Turn the lights up, show's over. I can't let ya'll have a show where I can't perform. I'm sorry," he said.

Kanye West is rarely at a loss for words, but he literally lost his voice during a concert in Los Angeles last night and abruptly canceled the show. That might sound a little dramatic, but consider this: His fans had already enjoyed 45 minutes of the Saint Pablo Tour and Yeezy decided his performance wasn’t giving them what they paid for. West insisted that full refunds would be given to ticket holders and that he’d “do better next time.” Fans left the arena with an abbreviated Kanye concert experience, a full refund, the promise of a replacement date and a great story to tell their friends.

Not a bad package, altogether. Kanye is a perfectionist and a customer service genius. Best of all, he seemed genuinely torn up about the last-minute change of heart.

“Turn the lights up, show’s over. I can’t let ya’ll have a show where I can’t perform. I’m sorry,” he said.

“I can’t let you have a show where I can’t perform for you,” he told the crowd, adding, “I’ll give everyone a refund, I’ll do better next time.”

You’re a good man, Kanye West! Here’s some fan footage from the strange and honest concert moment:
