"I don't feel connected to a damn thing that ain't got nothin' to do with me," Wayne said.

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne says he doesn’t relate to the Black Lives Matter movement and doesn’t understand their objectives.

“What is it? What does it mean?” he said on Nightline when asked how he felt about the movement.

He added that Black Lives Matter has nothing to do with who he is or what he’s doing.

“I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me,” he said. “I’m a young black rich motherf—er. If that don’t let you know that America understand.”

Wayne’s position seems to contradict a move he made in August, when he led the Weezyana Festival crowd in the chant “Black Lives Matter.”
