Justin Timberlake was just minding his business, trying to do his patriotic duty to vote and encourage others to do the same by posting a selfie of him doing it.

His caption to the photo above read, “I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote!!! No excuses, my good people! There could be early voting in your town, too.”

As of last year, Tennessee law prohibits the use of cell phones to talk, record, or take photos or videos in a polling site, and this selfie directly violates this new rule.  This law is categorized as a class C misdemeanor and anyone convicted could either serve 30 days in prison, pay a $50 dollar fine or both.  If Justin is convicted, he would make history as the FIRST.  I doubt it would lead to jail time, but I’ll follow the story for updates.
