Once someone draws a line in the sand against Drake it appears there’s no going back. The rapper chooses sides and stays there. (Unless it has to do with Rihanna, that is.) Even though Kid Cudi checked himself into a rehab facility citing issues with depression and suicidal thoughts earlier in October, Drake sounds like he’s taking aim at Cudi in a new track.

Drake announced a new project More Life would be arriving in December, and he premiered a handful of tracks last night (October 23) on the OVO Sound Radio show. On “Two Birds One Stone,” he raps, “You were ‘The Man on the Moon’/ Now you just through your phases/ Life of the angry and famous.” Many have taken that to be a dig at Cudi whose 2009 debut album was titled The Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Some fans feel that equating Cudi’s struggle with depression to a “phase” is a low blow.

The two originally clashed back in September and Drake doesn’t seem to be in a forgiving mood despite the circumstances. At the time, Cudi ranted on Twitter about Kanye West and Drake being fake rappers who relied heavily on ghostwriters and ignored real talent. During his Oakland show, Drake clapped back, twisting the lyric, “Boy you getting way too high you need to cut it,” to sound like he said “Cudi” at the end. With this latest lyric allegedly aimed at Cudi, Drake may have gone too far for some of his fans.
