New albums generally come on Fridays after the recording industry changed the global release day policy from Tuesdays in February 2015, but Danny Brown is going old school. He couldn’t wait any longer, and so he dropped his new album Atrocity Exhibition today (September 27).
Brown’s fourth studio album was supposed to be released September 30th, but it appears the Detroit rapper couldn’t wait another day before sharing it with listeners. “PUSHED THE ALBUM UP BRUH BRUH, COULDN’T WAIT ANY LONGER – #ATROCITYEXHIBITION TODAY!!!!” he tweeted.
Brown already premiered the single “Really Doe,” which features Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt and Ab-Soul. Other features on Atrocity Exhibition include B-Real, Kelela and Petite Noir, who each appear on separate tracks. Besides those appearances, Brown does much of the heavy lifting over the 15-track album.
