When Joe Budden stopped by to discuss Love & Hip-Hop New York, he also filled us in on No Love Lost, his third solo album due out February 5th.

While Love & Hip-Hop has already featured Budden in a different light, he told Jenny Boom Boom that his upcoming solo album, No Love Lost, will feature a change of pace as well. “This album for me is very different, especially coming off Padded Room, which was dark,” the rapper explained.  “It’s probably more akin to my debut, just because there was something on my debut for everybody. [No Love Lost] kind of just fell into that.”

Joe Budden broke into the mainstream over time, allowing him to collaborate with other artists like Wiz Khalifa and French Montana on the second single from his new solo album, “N.B.A. (Never Broke Again).”  There was a time, however, when Budden wanted nothing to do with working with anyone else.

“Earlier in my career I hated everybody,” he said.  “Because I hated them, they hated me.  I would shy away from all collaborations.  It was just easier to work alone.” Budden admitted, “I didn’t appreciate other forms of music.  If Trinidad James came out in 2005, I would have bashed him. I would have went on a whole bashing spree, just because that is how angry I was… Today I can just appreciate all forms of music, and I am not as hated.”
