The Game’s new album, “Jesus Piece,” focuses on the balance between being spiritually devout and being a gangster, and the rapper explained to Jenny Boom Boom how this theme is present everywhere in his life, from his relationship with fiancee Tiffany Cambridge to his notorious fight with 40 Glocc.

“We all love God, and we all love Jesus, but we do things in our lives on a daily basis that aren’t so Jesus-like. So those are some of the topics that are being touched on,” explained Game on the premise of his controversial upcoming album. The rapper went on to explain the album’s central theme deals with this balance everyone faces throughout their life. “My love for God is one thing, my love for music is one thing, my love for strip clubs is another thing, my love for the legal drug in Colorado is one thing,” he continued. “So it’s just a constant struggle.”

The Game has always been very open about his “conflicting” lifestyle, which will also be prominent on VH1’s newest reality series, Marrying the Game featuring the rapper and his fiancée Tiffany Cambridge.  “I’ve done a good job from the beginning of my career letting my fans in, and just opening my life up as far as my kids and stuff… [the show] will just go hand and hand with that.” The Game is no stranger to opening up in his music, either. “A lot of people would think it’s kind of crazy how I can take my kids to Disneyland one day and just be that type of father… But then I can go to the hood and be on my own block with my own homies… and just chill and smoke, but then on Sunday I am in the church, and then in the studio talking about this or that, and then I am on WORLDSTAR beating and smashing people.”

The beating Game referred to was his infamous brawl with rapper 40 Glocc, outside a party in L.A. earlier this year. “It’s not the type of press that will get you fans or raise the capabilities for you to sell anything,” said Game about 40 Glocc’s notoriety after the video went viral. “It’s really bad press. When you go from a super thug running up on Plies, running up on Lil Wayne with guns, and then you get beat up… Then you get on Twitter and you start re-Tweeting Reverend Run and doing inspirational quotes, these are things that make people uncomfortable. He’s got a long road ahead, a long road to recovery. But I wish him the best.”

Jesus Piece drops December, 11th. In the meantime, you can check out The Game on Marrying the Game, premiering November 19th on VH1.
